Welcome to Academy of Rising Stars Inc Founded by Lindsey Bramlitt Mckinney in 2003.

IMG_5970Lindsey Bramlitt McKinney always had a passion for dance.  She started taking Dance and Gymnastics just before the age of 3, and has been doing it ever since.  A dance team member for 8 years she loved attending Competitions and Conventions with Dana's DanceWorld.  Lindsey had the opportunity to train as a child and young adult for many years at Tremaine Dance conventions under his award winning staff.   Lindsey grew up active, from being in the woods with her brother and cousins, to dancing and performing for anyone that came over to her house.  She knew from a young age she wanted to have her own Dance Studio one day.  So when the opportunity to buy her life long studio came about she couldn't have been happier.  Lindsey took over Dana's DanceWorld the Summer of 2003.  And Changed the name to Academy of Rising Stars Inc. In 2005.  Lindsey knew she wanted to work with Children and invest in the youth of Putnam County.  The County where her Dreams began, and came true.  Lindsey received Regional and State level awards, in dance and cheer.  She was an all star award UCA Cheer Camp Recipient, and was invited to be apart of the UCA Staff as a Summer Coach.  Lindsey played fast pitch softball for 12 years and was a 4 year Varsity Softball Player at Palatka High.  All county and All state player and attended 2 years of college on a Softball Scholarship at St Johns River State College.  She also participated in Weightlifting, where she  placed 2nd at State and set a new State record her Senior year.  Lindsey was the Handcock Trophy Award recipient her Senior year for outstanding Athletics and Academics at Palatka High School in 2002, and graduated with 11 varsity letters.  After college Lindsey has continued her dance education by attending several Teacher workshops and Choreography Conventions each year.  Lindsey Attended Broadway Dance Center summer intensive in 2009.  She has also attended Showstoppers Dance Intensive and workshop each year since 2006.  Here she has had the honor to train under: Keltie Colleen Broadway Dancer, The Rockettes,  Mary Ann Lamb, 16 Broadway shows, Broadway Veteran, KC Monnie, from Fame, Glee, and Dancing with the stars, Courtney Russ NFL cheerleader formally with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Taylor Moore from the American Dance Company, Angel Roberts, Creator of the National Dance Movement Peace Love Hip Hop, Geo Hubela Leading Hip Hop Choreographer and Teacher, Group Iconic from Americas Best Dance Crew.  And Dena Rizzo Queen of Hip hop.  Lindsey and her family are active members of Trinity Church in Palatka. She Thanks God everyday for the opportunity to do what she loves so much.  And feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with the children of Putnam County.  Lindsey truly wanted to give back to the children of the community in which she was raised, through the Art of Dance and Gymnastics.  So after 2 years of having the Studio Lindsey decided go back for her degree in Early Childhood Education, after realizing she wanted to add a Christian Learning Center to the studio.  Lindsey continues to take master dance classes several times a year to stay informed and educated on the latest in Dance Choreography. She also attends several Educational Trainings and Seminars each year for the Preschool.  Lindsey's Rule for living: NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS THAN YOUR BEST! Must Haves: Faith, Love, Passion and Happiness.  I have always loved children, Lindsey has 2 sons Leven 2yr old and Laken 3 yrs old.  Balancing a business, being a wife and a mother is tough; however its the best job in the whole world.
